In celebration of this year’s Mother’s Day, we examined the sessions of mothers between 25 and 54 in March 2016. We combined Flurry’s demographic data and persona information to compare app usage of the average user with mothers. As a result, we put together the Top 5 app categories of Moms: Medical (13.9x higher usage than the average user), Health & Fitness (12.3x), Education (4.8x), News (1.8x), Food & Drink (1.3x). Screen Shot 2016-05-09 at 3.34.14 PMThis shows that the smartphone has become a key parenting tool in 2016: Moms use Medical and Health & Fitness apps to take care of their family’s well-being. Furthermore, they use mobile apps to help their kids educational advancement and plan for their day to day.
